The Trudeau government has allowed Khalistani protests, referendums and even given shelter to criminals, said top intel sources

The role of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and support of the Justin Trudeau-led government is clearly visible in the activities of Khalistani terrorists in Canada, according to top intelligence sources.

The Trudeau government has allowed Khalistani protests, referendums and even given shelter to known criminals, said sources. “It is surprising for a developed country like Canada not to cooperate with probes. They have more than 20 probes and LRs are pending from India," they said.

The ties between the two countries got strained with Canadian PM Justin Trudeau recently naming Indian High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma as a person of interest in an investigation, without naming the case. A person of interest means a suspect who is not arrested. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) strongly rejected the Trudeau government’s claims, calling them “preposterous imputations". Trudeau later admitted that he had not provided India with concrete proof regarding the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil while testifying before the Public Inquiry into Foreign Interference in Federal Electoral Processes and Democratic Institutions in Ottawa, bolstering India’s claims.

ISI: IMMIGRATION, DRUG CARTEL TO TRUDEAU’s PARTY

The ISI, in recent years, has penetrated deep into the immigration cartel, hiring Indian youths for gangsters and the drug smuggling racket and using them during anti-India protests, say sources. “The drug cartel has also been forcing girls from Punjab into the prostitution business," they said.

“The penetration of Pakistan in Trudeau’s party is key. Bilal Cheema is close to them and is operating on behalf of the ISI, which is funding Trudeau. Cheema was involved in major thefts of visa and master cards of the Liberal Party and was saved by Sukh Dhaliwal. Whenever Trudeau comes to British Columbia, he stays in their homes," they said.

ISI DRUG BUSINESS IN CANADA

The International Sikh Federation is at the root of the drug business in Canada, say sources. “They raised the cadre initially and started this business under the banner of the ISF, with the involvement of gangsters such as International Sikh Federation, Bindy Johal and Jimmy Dosanjh. Gangs of Johal, Dhak-Duhre, Sanghera, Malhi-Buttar, and the Kangs feature regularly in drug seizures, gang wars and other criminal activities," sources said.

“Canadian gangs are interested in the cheap import of heroin from Afghanistan via Pakistan and Punjab. They export refined drugs besides cocaine and ICE to Punjab," added sources.

Nijjar’s cousin was also the President of Surrey Gurudwara and was involved in the drug business in America.

In some cases, involvement in the drug and extortion business is also a compulsion when the youths involved in murders or crimes in India enter Canada. “To get their permits, they have to get in touch with immigration consultants, most of whom are linked to the cartels," sources said.

THE DRUG TRAFFICKING NETWORK

The Canadian drug trafficking network, according to the police, extends to the US and India. Illicit drugs are brought into Canada from California and India.

The Toronto Police on June 23, 2021 arrested 20 people, including nine of Punjab origin. The police seized more than 1,000 kg of cocaine, crystal meth and marijuana being transported between Mexico, California, and Canada using modified tractor-trailers. The police had stated that the recoveries included 444 kg of cocaine, 182 kg of crystal meth, 427 kg of marijuana, 300 oxycodone pills, $966,020 in Canadian currency, 21 vehicles, including five tractor-trailers and one firearm.

The street value of the seized drugs was estimated to be more than $61 million and it was termed as the largest international drug takedown in their history.

In Canada, 21 per cent of gangsters, who died in gang wars or police operations since 2006, were of Punjabi origin. The ISI is using Khalistani terrorists to smuggle narcotics and provide funds for anti-India activities.

According to sources, these drugs originate in Afghanistan. “From Afghanistan, the drugs reach Pakistan and then the Punjab border. Some consignments are sent to foreign countries, while some to Canada, U.S. and other countries through Mumbai and Nepal. In Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto, there are instances of Punjabis in the truck business who have turned to drug smuggling," they said.
