North Carolina's Raleigh to host a 3-day World Kannada Meet from September 4
Raleigh in North Carolina is hosting the third World Kannada meet from September 4- 6.

New York: Raleigh in North Carolina is hosting the third World Kannada meet from September 4- 6.

The Kannadigas’ association in America ‘NAVIKA’ is organising it at the Raleigh Convention Center, Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Around 2000-2500 passionate Kannadigas living in the United States of America are attending the convention.

It is going to showcase the rich and vibrant art, culture and literature of Karnataka. Representatives from government of Karnataka, Kannada & Culture department, Kannada Development Authority and several dozen artists and writers from Karnataka have been invited to this event. The Mayor of Raleigh will also participate in the event.

Kannada associations in New York, New Jersey, Albany, Rochester, Washington DC, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Florida, Arizona, Texas, Ohio, California and many other states in the USA are also participating in the event.

There will be seminars on the greatness of Karnataka and Kannada language to educate the Kannadigas born and brought up in the USA. They will also organise workshops on Kannada cuisine, costumes, handicrafts, paintings etc.

A separate workshop on employment and educational opportunities in Karnataka will also be arranged says Shekar Co-Convener for NAVIKA and President of Sampige Triangle Kannada Association in the USA.
