Social media users demanded strict action against those involved.

It’s widely acknowledged that soft drinks like Coca-Cola aren’t the healthiest beverage choices. But what makes them even more unhealthy is ‘counterfeit’ Coca-Cola which is made in unhygienic conditions but repackaged as factory-made bottles. A viral video circulating on X reveals a warehouse scene where a man is seen refilling used Coca-Cola bottles with a concoction directly from a tub. Using a funnel, the man pours the fake mixture into the bottles. The surroundings depict bags filled with discarded bottles, now being repackaged for resale.

The final result is a perfectly normal-looking Coca-Cola bottle that one might confuse with an original one. This video points to how counterfeit products thrive in the market. An X user shared this 20-second clip and wrote, “Scary….Everything in this world is fabricated or adulterated these days …” This post got over eight lakh views since it was shared on March 29. It is unclear when and where this video was made.

In the comments, many people urged the authorities and the companies to take action against such businesses. X user wrote that companies should have QR codes on their products. When we scan it should redirect to the checking website and show whether the product is “original or not.”

An X user tagged Coca-Cola’s official account in their post and wrote, “Coca Cola what is the action you are going to take after seeing this with your brand being misused and people effecting on your brand trust and one day an allegation comes on you.”

Someone else noted, “This is not scary. This is the truth of the world. The ‘normal’ Coca-Cola you drink contains no dearth of harmful chemicals. But what you consider ‘normal’ in this world, be it processed food or chemical medicine – it’s all highly inverted if you look with a bit of research.”

An X user shared the difference between the ‘real’ factory-made drinks vs the fake drinks that are available in the market.

He wrote, “Once we had a chance to visit cococola company near srikalahasti.. the maaza tasted entirely different and delicious, whereas store bought maaza feels chemicalish.. we all had extra bottles of all diff soft drinks that day thinking all the while we are having is fake stuff.”
