Students at a school in Uttar Pradesh reportedly missed out on an academic lesson since their principal was busy getting a facial.

A shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao has come to light. A primary school principal skipped a class for an absurd reason. She was allegedly getting a facial done inside the school premises. The situation gained attention after a video depicting the incident circulated online. While Sangeeta Singh, the primary school principal was reportedly preoccupied with her facial session, assistant teacher Anam Khan intervened by entering the room and documenting the scene on camera.

The video is being shared widely across social media handles. As the clip plays, Anam Khan can be seen walking inside the room to find the headmistress on a chair, seemingly in the final stages of her facial. Furious by the same, Sangeeta Singh allegedly chased the teacher, thrashed and even bit her hand. The video then cuts to show Anam with injury marks on her hands. While one of her hands had clear bite marks, another one was bleeding.

According to an NDTV report, a case has been filed against the headmistress by the Bighapur police on the basis of the assistant teacher’s medical examination. The block education officer has also ordered an investigation into the matter. Speaking on the same, Bighapur Circle Officer Maya Rai confirmed receiving a complaint from the assistant teacher of the school regarding the headmistress getting a facial during school hours and beating her up on getting caught. She added that necessary actions would be taken against her.

In the meantime, the viral video has sparked a debate on the internet. While many questioned the local administration, some even slammed how government teachers are misusing school premises. “Govt headmistress and teachers converted govt school into beauty parlour. Shiksha ke saath ek skin facial free in “Uttam” Pradesh,” a user wrote, while another commented, “This is shocking!!!!”

“Aman deserves appreciation and out of turn promotion for whistle blowing such malpractices in schools. It’s a matter of kid’s future. Great work done. Similarly, appropriate action must be taken against headmistress,” a user wrote while praising the assistant teacher’s brave move.
