UK Vlogger Criticised After Mocking Cop’s Safety Warning At Gokarna Beach
Many viewers were annoyed with how the British travel blogger Jack Aynsley treated the officer, who was just trying to caution him to move to a safer place.

A British vlogger, Jack Aynsley, drew severe criticism on social media after he uploaded a video mocking a policeman at a beach in Gokarna, Karnataka.

The video, captured at the Kudle beach in Gokarna, has garnered thousands of views on Instagram. The British travel blogger has stirred a controversy for allegedly mocking the policeman over his safety warning.

Many users on Instagram complained about the disrespect for the local authorities and the complete indifference towards the safety measures at the beach.

In the video, Aynsley accused the officer of ordering him to leave the beach owing to the rising tides as it could be dangerous. The vlogger, however, had a different perception of the situation, categorising it as confusion and mocking the officer’s words. In a sarcastic manner, he said, “He has such a big Lathi in his hand, ready to scare anybody off. But not me. I am an explorer of Indian beaches.”

Many viewers were annoyed with how Aynsley treated the officer, who was just trying to ensure the British YouTuber’s safety. Instead, the vlogger dismissed him in a condescending manner which was not well received by netizens.

As seen in the video, red flags on the beach signified the warning already in place for visitors to the Kudle beach but in his commentary Aynsley appeared to turn a blind eye to these signs and instead made fun of the police officer.

It did not take long for the video to go viral receiving 1 million views and mostly negative comments on Aynsley’s conduct. Many people replied to the post, supporting the policeman and accusing the vlogger of not obeying the local safety rules.

A user commented saying, “He is not confusing you; you are confused now!”

Another one warned Aynsley, “Only fishermen are allowed; don’t you understand?”

Some people frowned on his behaviour that he was acting irresponsibly and disrespecting the culture and laws of other countries. A user commented, “Dude, listen to the policeman. He is just looking out for you. Keep your smartness at home when you are in another country. Respect to the policeman who kept his calm in spite of your on-purpose over-smart act.”

“The Policeman was asking you to the vacant beach not because you were doing there something, but because of the weather,” another comment read.

“He is just safeguarding you, buddy, since it’s a stormy day, there may be a sudden change in water level, so do listen to policemen”, a user advised.
