This Video Of Giant Python Trying To Escape Is As Scary As It Gets
IFS officer Susanta Nanda shared this clip last year with the caption, “Caught in the trap after a happy meal.”

Encounters with snakes or other creepy creatures often evoke fear in most people. To prevent such encounters, venomous snakes are usually kept away from residential areas in designated places. However, a video circulating on social media shows a giant python seemingly attempting to break free and creating a spine-chilling sight.

The clip, shared last year on X handle, recently resurfaced on social media. It depicts a python’s frantic attempt to escape from a shed. However, being tied to a rope, the creature found it difficult to cross the fence. Additionally, its huge size also restricted its movements. Despite the hard attempts to break free, the serpent fails to escape. Susanta Nanda, shared the clip, on October 10 last year with a caption that read, “Caught in the trap after a happy meal.”

Upon being shared, the video was immediately flooded with varied reactions to the snake’s quick movements to escape from the shed. While many labelled the clip as scary, a few others found it cruel to restrict the python’s movement with rope. A user, seemingly scared, questioned, “Where is this sir? I would have had a heart attack if it was in front of me.” Another dropped a comment, “Fearful scene.” “This is cruelty,” said an individual as the snake was tied to a rope.

Earlier, another old video resurfaced on social media featuring a python named Monty as it swallowed a beach towel. Following the incident, the 18-year-old Jungle Carpet Python, reportedly weighing 5 kg and measuring 3 metres, was immediately rushed to Sydney’s Small Animal Specialist Hospital where the “team took X-rays to determine exactly where the towel started and ended inside Monty. Then they placed a flexible endoscope down Monty’s gastrointestinal tract, so they could see the towel as they tried to remove it.” The python was discharged the same day.
