In a world where modern love is often described in trendy terms like “flings” or “situationships,” the words of Mahatma Gandhi still hold true: “The law of love knows no bounds of space and time.” This sentiment is wonderfully shown by an elderly couple who, after more than six decades of marriage, continue to redefine relationship goals.
Anish Bhagat recently shared a touching story on Instagram, recounting his grandparents’ enduring love. In the video, Anish narrates how his grandparents always traditionally celebrate their anniversary in grand style. However, this year, their plans were disrupted as his grandmother was hospitalized due to health issues.
In a moment captured on video, Anish’s grandfather sang a heartfelt song for his wife as she departed for the hospital. Despite the physical separation, their desire to exchange anniversary gifts remained unwavering.
The video reveals a moment when Anish’s grandfather sends a gift to his wife, evoking overwhelming joy as she receives it. Unable to contain her happiness, she kissed the thoughtful present. She also celebrated their anniversary by cutting a cake within the hospital.
In a reciprocal gesture, Anish’s grandmother sent her husband a bouquet of flowers. After more than 30 days, Anish’s grandmother finally returned home from the hospital. Despite his limited mobility, Anish’s grandfather eagerly awaited her arrival. The heartwarming reunion between the two is captured on video, as they hugged each other tightly.
“Why am I born in this generation? Hey also I was away from insta because of this. I’m glad things are better at home. Thank you all for sending your blessings her way,” read the caption Anish wrote along with the video.
