Taylor Swift is one of the most iconic pop stars who has been impressing multiple generations across the globe. With her ongoing Eras Tour and the massive success of her new album The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor Swift continues to make headlines. Recently, she received a new wax statue at the Panoptikum Wax Museum in Hamburg, Germany. This wax statue reportedly draws inspiration from Taylor Swift’s 2019 iHeart Radio Music Awards look. In a now-viral video shared by the museum, the statue is shown dressed in a shimmering sky-blue playsuit. It also features Taylor Swift’s signature heart gesture. Well, fans quickly noticed a detail that seemed off – the statue’s fingers are fully extended, unlike Taylor Swift’s real-life gesture.
Take a look at it here:

The video has collected more than 47k views on social media. Swifties have expressed their dissatisfaction online. A fan commented, “So it’s certainly not easy to recreate someone out of wax and there’s definitely a lot of work involved, so respect that they did it. However, it doesn’t really look like Taylor. The face is somehow different, she also wears red lipstick and she also makes the heart with her whole hand.”
“Definitely hands need redo for not correct, needs all fingers in the heart she does. There is something about her face that just isn’t quite right. Possibly face a little to wide and her smile needs to be biggie, she is always smiling big,” another added.
“Taylor Swift ordered from wish,” a comment read.
“And that’s exactly why several artists always work on a wax figure so that you have different perspectives on it and something like this doesn’t happen,” suggested another.
“As a Swiftie, I’m shocked, it’s not her,” a fan said.
This isn’t the first time Taylor Swift has been honoured with a wax figure. Madame Tussauds in Dubai recently unveiled a wax statue of the singer in her outfit from the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards.
Prior to that, Madame Tussauds in London unveiled a statue inspired by Taylor Swift’s look from the Shake It Off music video.
