The act of sharing burgers is known to spread laughter and joy. But a burger became the reason for death in Pakistan. In a tragic incident, the son of a retired Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) killed his friend — the son of a judge with a gun, for eating the burger of his girlfriend. The assailant was 17. The event which occurred on February 8 this year has sent shockwaves among the masses. According to a report by Geo TV, the police recently concluded the investigation regarding the matter.
The accused named Daniyal Nazeer Mir is the son of former SSP Nazir Ahmed Mir Bahar. On the fateful day, Daniyal invited his girlfriend Shazia to his house at Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase V in Karachi. The victim, Ali Kerio, who was Daniyal’s friend, was already present in the house along with his brother Ahmar Kerio. The report added that Daniyal had ordered two zinger burgers, one for himself and the other for Shazia.

When Daniyal Nazeer Mir and Shazia were eating the burgers, Ali Kerio purposefully took Shazia’s burger and ate half the portion before returning the rest to her. Furious at his friend’s actions, Daniyal lost his cool. Without giving a second thought, he grabbed an assault rifle from their house’s security guard and opened fire on Ali. Reportedly, Ali succumbed to the gun wounds while on the way to the hospital.
The son of the ex-cop, Daniyal Nazeer Mir has been implicated in the heinous crime by the investigating officer of the case. The police personnel concluded the probe on Wednesday, April 24 and sent the report to higher authorities, reports the news portal. Daniel has been arrested and is currently in jail. The legal proceedings on the matter will continue in the court.
