Manu Bhaker Reveals Her Strategy For Anger Management, Says 'I Tell Myself To Breathe'
In a recent interview, Olympic bronze medalist Manu Bhaker revealed that she resorts to punching to vent her anger.

Besides having perfect fitness and skills, anger management is an important factor in sports. When playing on the field, it is common for professional athletes to experience the heat of anger. If not managed correctly, this can not only sabotage performance but also lead to severe short-term and long-term consequences. Olympic bronze medalist Manu Bhaker recently opened on the same, revealing her strategy for anger management. Speaking at News18 India Chaupal, the 22-year-old shooter shared that she resorts to punching to vent her anger.

Mentioning that she learned boxing in childhood, Manu Bhaker highlighted how she uses sports activities such as punching to vent her anger. She said, “Yes, I do feel angry. I am used to punching a lot.” The shooter went on to explain how she deals with such situations in public, adding that concentrating on breathing helps to regain her composure. “In public places, I just tell myself to just breathe, and this is how it clears out,” Bhaker explained.

This is not the first time that the Olympic athlete spoke on anger management. Earlier in an interview with Sportstar, she said, “I try to not react to anything. I do get angry, but I just try to handle myself. I face my own anger. I punch things, throw things, which is maybe once a year.”
