A food blogger recently took to social media to share his ‘Worst Flight Experience’ while travelling from Mumbai to Delhi on Air India Express. In the video blog, he highlights the problems he faced during the entire flight including hassle during check-in due to a payment issue, witnessing an irresponsible fellow passenger, receiving poor quality food and finally facing problems retrieving his check-in bag. The video has gained the attention of social media users who are reacting to it in large numbers. After being posted on Aug 24, it has gained 1 million views and more than 17,000 likes.
Sharing the video, he wrote, “In this video, I share one of my most frustrating flight experiences while traveling from Mumbai to Delhi on Air India Express. The journey started with a stressful check-in process due to a payment issue, but things only got worse.”
After a delayed check in, he alleged that his co-passenger, whom he called an ‘educated fool,’ was continuously talking on the phone during the take-off which resulted in an altercation between the two and he was forced to move his seat. Next, came the food. Sharing his experience of the food, he narrated, “The omelette smelled a bit sus and tasted nothing like the last time and the Hara Bhara Kebab that came with it, it was so dry that I actually spat it out.” He was further disappointed by the mutton biryani that was his favourite. Furthermore, he alleged that the banana chocolate cake that was served should just be called chocolate cake instead.
Nevertheless, the vlogger complimented the crew and said “They were really sweet, they gave me their own green tea”. However, he again mentioned that they misplaced his check-in bag, making him wait another 30 minutes after landing after an already stressful flight.
The video has received mixed reactions online. Many social media users felt the content creator had problems with every minor thing and suggested that he should have booked a business class ticket for a better experience. Some users also called him out for recording a fellow passenger without his permission. On the other hand, some users agreed that the standards of Indian aviation are falling continuously.
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Bro sat in the economy and asked for a first-class experience.”
“POV: When you’re out of content but still need to post every day,” a comment read.
Another wrote, “Boy thinks he’s the main character.”
An individual while criticising the content creator said, “Taking someone else’s video is wrong and you don’t have any right to record him. You could have complained about it to the stewards, however using the phone doesn’t make any difference, people need to mind their own business.”
One more added, “Take a better flight, stop crying about it, take business class if the people are bothering you.”
While sharing his experience, a user said, “I recently traveled from Bangalore to Hyderabad on Air India Express, and it was the worst experience. The flight was delayed by 7 hours, and the airline staff showed no concern, responding rudely to our queries.”
Another concluded, “Indian aviation standards are going down and down”.
