Extramarital affairs and multiple marriages are not new. However, there are some legal conditions for each of them. People often do not follow the law, cheat their wives, and begin another relationship. Something similar happened in Jamui, Bihar. However, the consequences were not similar to those in other cases.
In Bihar’s Jamui district, a man got married to another woman before getting divorced from the first. The second wife taught him a lesson for this act. Vikas Kumar, a resident of Harni in the Jhajha police station area of Jamui district, got married to a woman seven years ago. She is a resident of Taradih village in the Khaira police station area. The married couple was unable to have any children even after seven years of their marriage. Due to his situation in the family, Vikas left his wife for another woman to marry. He did not divorce his wife before getting married to the other woman, which made the situation worse.
After this incident, the first wife filed three separate cases against her husband in the Jamui Family Court and Civil Court. As soon as he realized it, he applied for a bail petition but could not get it. He finally got his bail from the Patna High Court against the cases. However, the bail was granted with some conditions.
Vikas went to the court with his papers. The husband had reached the family court in Jamui with bail papers from Patna High Court. Seeing his wife, his wife reacted. She caught him and then showered punches and kicks on her husband. When she was asked about the reason, she informed me that her husband left her and started living with another woman.
Vikas Kumar works as a labourer living in Deoghar, Jharkhand state. Vikas’s first wife alleged that he kept his second wife in Deoghar. Based on the information, she filed a case against him. However, family members and people present at the premises tried to control the situation for the better.
