Commuting for work can be an extremely tiresome experience for many, but it is something which cannot be avoided at any cost. A man from Germany is grabbing attention online for his bizarre commuting practices, leaving the netizens shocked at his reasons. The man is named Seb, who is a TikTok influencer from Germany. He shared his regular job commute with the world, which reportedly takes a total of 5 hours to complete, involving a flight and four trains. It starts from Hamburg, Germany, and ends at Canary Wharf, London. Why does he go through such travelling lengths on a daily basis? According to him, Seb is not doing this to save money, he is simply doing it for the love of his partner, who resides in Hamburg.
In one of his TikTok clips, Seb revealed that he left his office at Canary Wharf at 5 pm, reaching Heathrow in an hour, after taking two trains. By then, he has an hour to wait for his plane, while he takes some food and heads for the aircraft. Arriving in Hamburg, Seb declares, “Back on European soil in Deutschland.” During the commute he had to rush between his third and fourth trains.
Interestingly, he times his total commute to beat his personal record. As per more reports, his current record for returning home, stands at four hours and 57 minutes. Thankfully, he does not have to take the journey on a daily basis, staying in London for four days, Monday to Thursday, once every month.
In another video, he started his journey at 4:34 am German time. According to him, he started by cycling to the station to get on the first train. Then changing the train he reached the airport at around 5:33 am.
Seb’s experience left many on the internet perplexed. A user commented on his TikTok clip, “Sir pls save yourself this hassle and just move into London omg!?” While another stated, “Is your work place funding your travel because I don’t understand.”
