Xiaomi's popular budget offering Redmi 3S Prime and its low-cost sibling Redmi 3S will go on sale today (February 17) in India at 12PM IST. It is pertinent to note that the smartphone will be on sale on e-commerce site Amazon India.

Both the Redmi 3S and 3S Prime are budget offerings from Chinese mobile phone maker Xiaomi. The key difference between the 3S and 3S Prime is that the former has a fingerprint scanner, more RAM and offers 32GB storage.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime is a metal body smartphone under Rs 10,000 and has taken a cue from Redmi Note 3, albeit a bit smaller, more compact and ergonomic. The Redmi Prime 3S is lightweight and weighs 142 gram.

The Redmi 3S Prime is a dual-SIM phone with a hybrid SIM slot, supports 4G (VoLTE) and packs in a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor backed by 3GB RAM. The Redmi 3S Prime also offers a massive 4100 mAh battery. Xiaomi has also packed in a 13 megapixel rear PDAF camera.
Xiaomi had launched the offline exclusive Redmi 3S Plus in October last year.
