Twitter Is Testing An Undo Tweet Feature, But You May Have to Pay For It: Here's What We Know
The feature would allow users to overturn a tweet, giving them an option to quickly remove a tweet within a fixed period of time before it has been sent out.

Micro-blogging platform Twitter is reportedly working on an “undo tweet” feature that will be limited to its paid subscribers. The feature is said to allow users to undo their tweets within a limited period of time. This is being said as Twitter’s response to the much-demanded edit tweet option. The new feature was spotted by reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong, who tweeted about the feature appearing on a subscription screen on Twitter. The feature would allow users to overturn a tweet, giving them an option to quickly remove a tweet within a fixed period of time before it has been sent out.

According to the post shared by Wong, Twitter will have a timer on an “Undo” button, which will double up as a progress bar. Wong has also shared a screenshot of the undo tweet feature which is shown alongside a paid subscriptions page, hinting that it would be among the features Twitter will provide to its paid subscribers. In a report, Cnet quotes Wong as saying that the feature is different from deleting a tweet, since undoing a tweet stops it from being sent at all. Twitter also confirmed to Cnet that it is testing the feature. The new feature could emerge as Twitter’s move to convince people to subscribe to Twitter. This, however, isn’t something that could allow editing a tweet, which has been demanded since the past few years.

Earlier, Twitter announced the launch of the Super Follows subscription service to allow creators to charge a fee for exclusive tweets and other content, on a monthly basis.
