Star Tech: Actor Karan Mehra is all-Apple with a pinch of Samsung
While many of you live on Facebook, Karan is not at all addicted to social networks. He says that he checks his Facebook once or twice a week.

New Delhi: One thing that we found common among the stars who have so far been featured in our Star Tech series is Apple. And actor Karan Mehra, last seen in the rom-com Badmashiyaan is yet another Apple aficionado.

Karan is an avid Apple user and owns a plethora of Apple products. He has an iPhone 5s, three iPads, and a MacBook Pro. The reason he had to buy himself the third iPad was because the first two - iPad and the first-gen iPad Mini - were grabbed by his wife and sister. Karan, currently uses the second-gen iPad Mini.

Like his Badmashiyaan co-star Sharib Hashmi, who was featured in our series early this month, Karan also uses a Samsung power bank to keep the iPhone running for longer. It seems that one would have influenced the other for this little 'badmashi'.

He also had an iPod Touch which he gave it away to a cousin. Other gadgets that he owns include a Sony PSP gaming console, a portable JBL speaker, and Bose speakers.

Karan is quite satisfied with the gadgets that he is using and has no plans to discard them. "I don't change my gadgets until the technology is really changed," said Karan.

The only gadget that Karan looks forward to buying is a 3D LED TV. "But when I go to buy it depends on when I get the next fat cheque," he jokingly said.

While many of you live on Facebook, Karan is not at all addicted to social networks. He says that he checks his Facebook once or twice a week and Twitter only once a day because the profession he is in demands that.

When it comes to apps, Karan uses WhatsApp the most. His other favourite and frequently-used apps include Ola cabs, Instagram, Scrabble, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Google Maps, Star Sports, and Just Dial.

When asked to recall his first ever phone, Karan said, "My first phone was in 1997. It was a Nokia; I guess, the Nokia 3230."

Star Tech is our new series in which we feature the tech toys our stars like to play with.
