Sony and IFTTT roll out new recipes for wearables
IFTTT has released new set of recipes that aim at injecting more functionality to Sony wearables and Xperia-based fitness tracking.

New Delhi: Having a wearable device and the IFTTT app makes even more sense now. Sony has teamed up with IFTTT (If This Then That)-a service which eases the task of handling multiple apps with a single recipe, for its line of wearables.

IFTTT has released new set of recipes that aim at injecting more functionality to Sony wearables and Xperia-based fitness tracking. Made by the official SonyMobile IFTTT account, this channel works with the Sony Lifelog ecosystem.

A report on Slash Gear notes that the channel is in turn connected to Sony Xperia Z3 and future Sony Xperia smartphones, the Sony line of fitness wearable like SmartBand and SmartBand Talk and also the first Sony Android Wear watch.

The latest recipes for the Sony wearables include receiving daily summaries of fitness bits via email and tracking recorded sleep in a spreadsheet. You can also auto-share daily step goals with Facebook friends and Tweet when a daily calorie goal is reached. LifeLog is also synced to your Evernote to keep a log of missed goals like daily walking.

The Lifelog for Android app is also available to a variety of other smartphones.
