Huawei says that GPUs for mobile platforms have always faced a series of technical constraints like storage, heat dissipation and energy consumption. These factors make it challenging for smartphone developers to cope with the upsurge of demand for mobile graphics processing. As such, the new GPU Turbo by Huawei and Honor aims to cater to these problems.
GPU Turbo will allegedly benefit mobile games that demand high graphics processing efficiency, enhancing the speed and optimizing users’ gaming experience. GPU Turbo will aim to improve the integration between Huawei and Honor smartphones' hardware and EMUI software. In addition, GPU Turbo can support AR and VR in the future and can be applied in the sectors including virtual teaching, online shopping and telemedicine.
