New Delhi: Asus Zenpower, the 10050 mAh power bank, which was scheduled to go on sale in India on May 15, has not made its way to the country.
The power bank was unveiled in India last month and this week its availability and pricing details were made public. However, as opposed to its scheduled availability date, the power bank is neither listed on Flipkart nor available in Asus stores.
An Asus India spokesperson said, “Shipping of the Asus ZenPower power banks is stuck and that has resulted in the delay in its availability. We will be able to provide an update on Monday (May 18) regarding this.”
Although the spokesperson assured that more details shall be provided in the coming week, there is no information on the exact date when the product could be possibly made available in India.
The Asus ZenPower is priced at Rs 1,499 for the silver, pink, blue and gold variants, while the black coloured-model carries a price tag of Rs 1599.
According to Asus, a smartphone with a battery capacity of 1500mAh, 2000mAh, 2500mAh and 3000mAh can be charged 4 times, 3 times, 2.5 times and 2 times, respectively. Besides this, it can also charge tablets with battery capacity of 4000mAh, 4500mAh and 5000mAh for 1.5 times, 1.2 times and 1.1 times, respectively.
"The ZenPower Bumper adds an extra layer of tactile toughness which is soft to touch, scratch and impact resistant and is available in various colours," said Asus.
