Apple iPhone 7: Seven Features Revealed Ahead of Apple's September Event
Here are the top features revealed ahead of the iPhone 7 launch.

The most anticipated release of 2016 is scheduled for tomorrow. However, even before Tim Cook could take to stage to officially unveil the iPhone 7 (or so it will be called), KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spoiled the surprise by revealing a lot of major changes coming in the next Apple phone.

According to the research note obtained by Apple Insider, the next Apple iPhone will come with a range of new features, some of which have been long speculated like a bump in storage and a lightning headphone connector instead of the standard 3.5mm jack.

Here are the top features revealed ahead of the iPhone 7 launch: 1. Storage

One of the biggest changes is the change in storage capacities on offer. The iPhone 6 family came in 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB. But the successors will come in options of 32 GB, 128 GB, and a bumper 256 GB, doing away with the low 16 and 64 GB storage choices.2. Camera

A feature that has been long speculated is the next iPhone's camera. It will come with a dual 12 megapixel rear camera module. However, the dual rear sensors will be limited to the highest model - iPhone 7 Plus - and use 1x wide angle, and 1x telephoto lens. The flash LEDs have also been doubled from two to four with warm and cool colours.3. Hardware

The iPhone 7 as well as iPhone 7 Plus will be IPX7 water resistant, which essentially means they can withstand splashes and full submersion for up to 30 minutes. The phone will come with a second external speaker and integrated amplifier for better audio output. Also read: iPhone 7: All You Need to Know About the Upcoming Apple Handset4. Processor

Apple is boosting the RAM for its iPhone 7 Plus which will come equipped with 3 GB while the lower-end model will have 2 GB of RAM. The A10 chipset will come clocked at 2.45GHz, promising a boost in performance by up to 30 per cent.5. Design

The new iPhone will boast of True Tone display technology which was first introduced on the iPad Pro earlier this year. It is claimed that the new iPhone will continue with the same design pattern as its predecessors, but without the standard headphone jack, the device will certainly bring in a subtle yet noticeable tweak. The antenna bands will also be removed, giving it a cleaner look.6. Home Button

The physical home button will be replaced with a touch sensor that will work similar to the company's patent 3D Touch. 7. Colours

It is expected that the new iPhone will come in two new colour choice of Dark Black and Piano Black with the latter reserved for the premium 256GB model. Apple will also do away with the Space Grey colour choice.

Whether all of these leaked features make it to the official device or not is something which will be established once the official Apple event kick starts at 10pm IST.
