Veteran Kannada actress Hema Chaudhary’s health has taken a sudden downturn, leading to her admission to a private hospital in Bengaluru. Reports indicate that the actress is currently in critical condition and is being treated for a brain haemorrhage at Baptist Hospital in Bangalore.

Known for her extensive contributions to South Indian cinema and her proficiency in Kuchipudi dance, Hema Chaudhary has appeared in over 180 Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada films. Her notable roles include portraying Shakuntala Devi in the popular Kannada television series Amrita Varshini.

Hema Chaudhary’s health crisis emerged two days ago when she was diagnosed with a brain haemorrhage. She is currently receiving medical care in the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU). Despite her son being abroad in Ireland, arrangements are underway for his return to be with his ailing mother.

While Baptist Hospital is yet to release an official statement on the veteran actress’s health, the industry and her fans are expressing deep concern and sending prayers for her recovery. Hema Chaudhary’s sudden health deterioration follows the recent demise of actress Leelavathi, and her visit to console Leelavathi’s family earlier this month was noted.

Hema Chaudhary made her acting debut in 1976 with the Telugu film Pelli Kani Pelli. Throughout the 1980s, she gained recognition for her supporting roles in Kannada films, showcasing her acting prowess in movies like Ghadi Matu, Vijay Vani, Shubshaya, and Deepa.

In addition to her acting career, Hema Choudhary is an accomplished Kuchipudi dancer, having given over 700 performances worldwide alongside her guru Vempati Chinna Satyam. Her contributions to dance were recognized with the Panorama Award, and she served as a judge on the National Film Awards Committee for three years.

Born to the renowned female dubbing artist and Telugu film actress Brindavan Chaudhary in Andhra Pradesh, Hema Chaudhary has consistently shown her gratitude to Hindu goddess shrines by presenting silk sarees after each movie she starred in.

As the news of Hema Chaudhary’s health spreads, the industry and fans are fervently hoping for her speedy recovery and return to good health.
