The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce, and Telugu Film Producers Council jointly organised a press meeting recently. The objective of this meeting was to address the theatre and business problems related to the release of Telugu films during the Sankranti. The meeting addressed the major concern of every producer, that their films should do a hefty business at the box office. This will ensure profitable returns for the producers. This space articulates the opinions presented by the eminent members of the committee.
Producer Dil Raju highlighted the importance of social media and websites in supporting the film industry. He said that there is always stiff competition among the producers to release their films during the Sankranthi festival. Dil Raju said that the film Eagle’s team adhered to the decision taken by the producers’ meeting 15 days earlier. He said that complying with the decision, Eagle’s team backed out from releasing their film during the Sankranti. Dil Raju expressed gratitude to TG Vishwa Prasad, Vivek Kuchibhotla, Hero Ravi Teja, and the Eagle team for their cooperation. TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibhotla have produced Eagle under the People Media Factory banner. Dil Raju said that now four films will get a chance to perform their best at the box office during the Sankranti.
Producer Prasanna Kumar said that the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce, and Telugu Film Producers Council have worked in tandem. According to him, during this meeting, the producers reached out to him and talked about their problems. He also conveyed his thanks to the Eagle team for withdrawing from the Sankranthi festival.
Producer Damodar Prasad emphasised the importance of the press meet. Prasad said that this press meet revolved around the films released at the Sankranti. He also thanked the Eagle team for taking a proactive approach and backing out from the Sankranti festival. This will ensure a fair distribution of the screens for the other films.
Anupam Reddy from the Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce also appreciated the unity showcased by the film industry. He extended thanks to the Eagle Team, particularly Vishwaprasad, Vivek, and Hero Ravi Teja, for their decision to withdraw from the Sankranthi race.
