Pushpa 2 Makers Dismiss Postponement Rumours, Confirm August 15 As Release Date

Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa 2 has been making headlines for a long time. Audiences are eagerly waiting for the release of the film. Earlier, there was news that the release date of the much-awaited movie had been postponed as it was clashing with Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s action film Singham Again. Both movies were said to hit screens on August 15 this year. Now, it turns out to be a mere rumour. The makers of Pushpa 2 have not delayed the release date. Recently, the team of Pushpa has officially confirmed the date, which states that Pushpa 2 will be released worldwide on August 15.

A post has been shared on the official Twitter page of Pusha, wishing the audience a happy new year. The caption reads, “2024 Rule Pushpa Ka. Pushpa Raj is coming back this year to rule the worldwide box office. May you all rule your year with ambition and determination, and may you get everything you desire. Happy New Year 2024! Pushpa 2: The Rule Grand Release Worldwide on August 15, 2024. ”

Pushpa 2 is backed by Mythri Movie Makers in collaboration with Sukumar Writings while it is also written and directed by Sukumar. The movie stars Allu Arjun as the titular character, alongside Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna, reprising their roles.

As per reports, the movie is said to have been made on a budget of Rs 500 crore and is one of the most expensive Indian films to date.

Singham Again is also scheduled to release theatrically on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day. The action film is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by his production house, Rohit Shetty Picturez along with Ajay Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Reliance Entertainment.

The film stars an ensemble cast that includes Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Siddharth Jadhav. It is the fifth instalment of Shetty’s Cop Universe and is the sequel to his 2014-movie Singham Returns.
