1Nayanthara’s journey in the film industry was filled with high and lows. During her initial journey, she worked on some unsuccessful films, due to which she even considered quitting the entertainment industry after the release of Sri Rama Rajyam in 2011.
However, she returned strongly two years later with Raja Rani, which changed her life forever. Nayanthara made a decision to not focus on mediocre scripts and took on unique projects, showcasing her capability to carry films independently.
Since then, Nayanthara has worked on a number of women centric movies like Maya, Dora and Aramm, due to which she has been called, Lady Superstar.
Nayanthara made her Bollywood debut earlier this year with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. The film, directed by Atlee, received positive reviews from the audience and earned more than Rs 1000 crore globally.
Meanwhile, Hindustan Times recently reported that Nayanthara is being considered for the lead role in Karna. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, impressed by her acting prowess, is reportedly keen on having her on board for his ambitious project. However, there is no official confirmation of this as of now. Besides this, Nayanthara is all set to appear in Tamil drama Annapoorani – The Goddess of Food. The film is helmed by debutant Nilesh Krishnaa.
