Malayalam actor Mohanlal is one of the biggest superstars in the country. He is in the spotlight for his forthcoming movie, Malaikottai Vaaliban. A few weeks back, the makers decided to create hype regarding the upcoming movie by releasing the first title track, Punnara Kattile Poovanatthil. Now to create further buzz, the makers have unveiled a new poster of the movie. Mohanlal revealed the official poster of Malaikottai Vaaliban on social media. The caption read, “Malaikottai Vaaliban Official Poster." In the hashtags, he revealed that the movie is set to release on January 25, 2024. The poster shows a dusty and sandy terrain with beheaded cows lying on the ground. Mohanlal can be seen holding a fist full of sand in his hand. He dons a rustic and rugged look, and wears an intense expression.

Fans were ecstatic about the poster reveal. One user wrote, “Hope this is the next big hit after Neru!" Another commented, “Congratulations, Mohanlal Sir." A comment read, “The movie will set the screens on fire."

Malaikottai Vaaliban is touted to be a period drama directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. Lijo Jose Pellissery gained immense fame as an ace director for his movies like Jallikattu, and Ee.Ma.You, and the recent Mammootty film, Nanpagal Nerathu Mayakkam. Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Malaikottai Valiban. The movie is produced by John and Mary Creative, along with Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments, Yoodlee Films, Century Films, and Amen Movie Monastery.

Till now, the plot and other details regarding the movie have been kept under wraps. From the poster, it looks like a period fantasy drama with elements of action. At present, it is quite unclear what exactly the movie is about. Apart from Mohanlal, Malaikottai Vaaliban will also star Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Danish Sait, Katha Nandi and Manikandan R Achari in key roles. Prashanth Pillai will be handling the music department. He has previously worked with the director in Jallikattu and Ee.Ma.Yau. The cinematography of the movie is being handled by Madhu Neelakandan. As per reports, the movie has been shot at locations like Chennai, Puducherry and Rajasthan.
