Sindhu Menon made her debut in the film industry as a child artist with the Kannada film Rashmi, released in 1996. In a few years, at the age of 13, she was cast as the lead in the film Prema Prema Prema, a Kannada movie released in 1999. Directed by S Siddalingaiah, Sindhu was seen with Suresh Raj and Ramya in the film.
By the age of fifteen, she entered the Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil cinema. Her notable works included films like Bhadrachalam, Uthaman and Samuthiram. In 2006, she appeared as the lead in the Malayalam film Pulijanmam. In 2007, it was given the National Film Award for Best Feature Film. Her last release was the 2012 Malayalam film titled Manjadikuru.
In 2010, on April 25, Sindhu tied the knot with an IT professional named Prabhu. The couple shares three children and are settled in London.
