Darshan Drops Post With A Special Message A Month Prior To Birthday
He requested his fans to not bring cake and garlands or put on any boards or banners to extend their wishes for him.

A day ahead of Kannada actor Yash’s birthday on January 8, his fan’s tragic death shook the nation. Many South actors have come out, after this, requesting fans to not risk their lives for them. Some are asking fans to stop celebrating their favourite actor’s birthday in a grand manner. One such actor is Darshan. He recently dropped a post on social media on this issue. Darshan Thoogudeepa will be celebrating his birthday on February 16. The actor will turn 47 this year. Weeks ahead of his birthday, the star dropped a post on Instagram, in which he requested his fans to not bring cake and garlands or put on any boards or banners to extend their wishes for him. Through the post, he appealed to his fans to celebrate his birthday in the most simple manner while making sure that they are not disturbing others. Sharing a letter, he wrote in the caption, “Request to lovely fans.”

Darshan often speaks about the importance of safety and avoiding risks, while urging his fans to prevent themselves from becoming prone to any hazardous situation. During his appearance at a pre-release event for his film Robert, he shared his concern about the same, asking his fandom not to reach extremism; adding that their irresponsible act can cause the family of a particular person to suffer throughout their lives. “Due to the death of a person, everyone curses the respective actors for the rest of their lives,” said Darshan.

Reportedly, in a horrifying incident, three young men identified as Hanumanth Harijan (24), Murali Naduvinamani (20), and Naveen Gaaji (20) – while erecting a hoarding to celebrate the KGF actor’s birthday – died. The death of the fans has left Yash numb.

Darshan Thoogudeepa’s film Kaatera garnered attention for its compelling storyline. Directed by Tarun Sudhir, the movie presents an action drama set in the rural backdrop of the 1970s, depicting the struggles of farmers. Released on December 29, 2023, Kaatera has been crowned the highest-grossing Kannada film of 2023.
