New Delhi: Not only the common people were eager to have a glimpse of Arvind Kejriwal but also men and women in uniform seemed frenzied when he took as the capital's new Chief Minister at the historic Ramleela ground on Saturday.

From senior officers to constables, a large number of security personnel were seen to be star-struck when Kejriwal and his ministers came to the dais at around 12 noon for the swearing in ceremony.

Though no one was ready to open up, most of them expressed their happiness to be a part of the "historic" event.

A 28-year-old lady constable who was seating inside the media box said, "This moment is historic, I am lucky that I am witnessing this. In future I can share this story with my children."

Moving across the place from one corner to another to get a better view of the new Chief Minister, she clicked photos with her mobile every time Kejriwal completed a sentence.

"I also voted for him," she said and stopped when she saw her senior approaching.

Several other security personnel were also seen taking pictures when Kejriwal was taking the oath. Near the VIP enclosure, a private security guard who was clicking picture on request of a young police inspector, said, "Through out the year we work for the safety and security of others, but we are also human beings, we also have feelings, these are emotional moments, how can I keep myself away from my emotions?"

Echoing him the inspector said, "I love this man (Kejriwal), I will not say anything more."

Policemen posted outside the venue also did not want to miss a moment and were seen to be glued to LED screens installed on various parts of the area.

A young policeman who was watching Kejriwal's speech on the screen installed near civic centre, said, "I am on my duty, but I also need to hear him. I am a citizen of this state and my future is also linked to what he says."

Capping a momentous election victory, Arvind Kejriwal was today sworn-in as Delhi Chief Minister along with six other ministers, and, in a first, decided not to keep any portfolio with himself.
