Mumbai: Former Union Minister Ram Naik, who is BJP candidate from Mumbai North Lok Sabha seat, is worth Rs 2.46 crore, according to the affidavit submitted by him while filing his papers here today.
The figure excludes property worth Rs 45.35 lakh that his wife Kunda owns, the affidavit noted.
The flats of the former Petroleum Minister are valued at over Rs one crore, up by around Rs 20 lakh when he last contested Lok Sabh poll.
When he lost to actor Govinda in Mumbai North seat in 2004, Naik had declared assets of Rs 84 lakh.
The five-term MP filled his nomination at the district collector in Mumbai on April 2.
Naik neither owns a vehicle nor agricultural land. His wife owns 150 gm of gold jewellery worth Rs 2.25 lakh and diamond earring of Rs 10,000.
