Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to address the ongoing meeting between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to review the performance of the NDA government at the Centre.
The address by the Prime Minister comes on the last day of the three-day RSS coordination committee meeting.
The meeting over the past two days reviewed matters of internal security and social issues such as religion based census.
This comes a day after the Congress hit out at the BJP-led NDA government questioning whether it was accountable to a “fascist organisation" or people of the country.
"It confirms that the RSS is controlling this government and its Ministers are answerable to RSS rather than being accountable to the people of India. When all senior ministers are giving report cards to RSS, is the government accountable to RSS or people of India?" Congress spokesman RPN Singh said on Thursday.
With several issues confronting the government coming up at a coordination meeting of the Sangh and its affiliates at which several senior Ministers were also present, Singh said, "Now the RSS is telling Shri Modi and his government what to do on OROP, Economy & Farm Distress".
