1. Padampur is an Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in West region of Odisha and falls in Bargarh district. Odisha is located in East India. Seat is unreserved.

This Rural constituency has 2,48,777 voters of which 1,26,373 are male and 1,22,404 are female and voters of the third gender.

In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Padampur, recorded a voter turnout of 78.48%. The voter turnout in the 2014 Assembly elections was 79.5% and in 2009, 75.5% of Padampur?s voters came out to elect their Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA).

In the 2014 Odisha state Assembly elections, Pradip Purohit of BJP won in this seat defeating BJD?s candidate by a margin of 4,513 votes which was 2.53% of the total votes polled. Pradip Purohit polled a total of 1,78,332 (44.15%) votes.

BJD?s Bijaya Ranjan Singh Bariha won this seat in the 2009 Odisha Assembly elections beating the INC candidate by a margin of 18066 (11.75%) votes. Bijaya Ranjan Singh Bariha polled 1,53,818 which was 44.15% of the total votes polled.

Padampur went to the polls in Phase 2 of the 2019 Odisha Assembly polls on Thursday, April 18, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
