New Delhi: The Delhi High Court is set to hear charges in the Arun Jaitley call-records case involving the senior BJP leader on Tuesday. In the last hearing, the Delhi Police had filed a chargesheet against private detective Anurag Singh, a police constable Arvind Dabbas and two other private detectives, currently in judicial custody.
The people named in the report are currently in judicial custody. Arvind Dabas was arrested in February, 2012 for allegedly trying to access Jaitley's call details. The police said that the accused had accessed the call records of 30 other people. However, no politicians were named in the report.
Anurag Singh was earlier involved in tracking call details of former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh. The charges have been filed against four people under sections of cheating, criminal conspiracy, forgery and also the IT Act. However, even after two months of investigations, the police have failed to establish the motive fully.
