New Delhi: The Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, on Friday wrote to Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung justifying the Delhi Cabinet's decision to clear the Jan Lokpal Bill.
"There is no provision in the Constitution that consent needs to be taken from the Centre (before passing the Bill). If for every Bill, the Centre's consent needs to be taken, then what is the need for an elected government?" Kejriwal asked.
