Fadnavis meets PM Modi after scam allegations hit Maharashtra government
The meeting between the two leaders came even as the Anti-Corruption Bureau wrote to Maharashtra principal secretary, seeking details of the deals worth Rs 206 crore, which were cleared by Pankaja Munde.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the backdrop of a Rs 206 crore ‘chikki’ scam allegation hitting the state government.

The meeting between the two leaders came even as the Anti-Corruption Bureau wrote to Maharashtra principal secretary, seeking details of the deals worth Rs 206 crore, which were cleared by Pankaja Munde.

Notably, Fadnavis’s meeting with PM Modi also comes just after the Maharashtra Chief Minister sought a report from Mumbai Police commissioner Rakesh Maria over his meeting with former Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner Lalit Modi in London.

Ahead of the meeting, Fadnavis had declared that he was satisfied with the explanation given by Maria on his meeting with Lalit Modi.
