Hyderabad: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has urged people not to consider him as the future prime minister, and said nobody could predict the future.

"Please don't consider me as the future prime minister. Nobody can predict the future," he said during an interaction with students of Loyola College in Vijayawada on Wednesday.

"Anybody can become the prime minister," Rahul said when some students referred to him as the future prime minister.

The young MP also stressed that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was doing a good job.

To another query, he said the problem of terrorism would be dealt with as per the law. He said the country was well-prepared to face internal and external threats.

Rahul, who patiently answered questions on various issues, said the racial attacks on Indian students in foreign universities was a serious issue and the Government had taken up the matter with the countries concerned.

When a student asked him why the late Y S R Reddy's son Jaganmohan Reddy was not made the chief minister, Rahul said he himself wanted to see Jaganmohan at the state's top post.

Rahul, who was scheduled to interact with students in Warangal and Tirupati, had to cancel the visit to those towns due to heavy rains in the region.
