A crucial meeting of the Congress Working Committee, the highest decision making body of the party, is taking place in the national capital on Tuesday.

The top most body of the Congress is meeting to decide on poll strategy ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections and also on organisational changes.

According to sources, no decision is likely to be taken on the elevation of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi as the party president. Party president Sonia Gandhi is expected to continue leading the party as many feel she is a more acceptable leader within the party and also among the allies.

However, Rahul Gandhi would continue to be the aggressive face of the party, said sources.

Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday met Congress legislative party leaders ahead of the CWC meeting.

Congress faced its worst electoral rout in a Lok Sabha election when the party could win just 44 seats while Rahul was directly pitted against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was the face of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance.

Modi powered the NDA to a superlative victory in the elections with the BJP becoming the first party in three decades to win a single-party majority in the Lok Sabha by bagging 282 seats.
