NCP ruled out giving away plum posts of home, finance, power to Congress.
Mumbai: The deadlock over portfolio allocation amongst MLAs from winning Congress-NCP alliance continues in Maharashtra.
The man chosen by the Congress high command to be the next chief minister, Ashok Chavan On Friday said that negotiations are still on between the Congress and the NCP leaders.
However, sources indicate that a broad consensus over Congress getting 22 ministries and NCP retaining 20 ministries has been reached.
NCP has said it will stick to the 1999 formula on portfolio-sharing and has ruled out giving away plum posts of home, finance and power to Congress.
