New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party workers attacked the house of rebel Member of Parliament (MP) Chandrabhan Bhaiya Singh on Thursday morning.
Chandrabhan's wife Janaki Singh said a group of BJP supporters and members of the party's Mahila Morcha attacked their house at about 1100 hrs IST.
"Chandrabhan didn't vote because of blood vomiting on the day of voting," Janaki claimed.
The MP from Damoh in Madhya Pradesh had abstained during Tuesday's vote of confidence in the Lok Sabha and was expelled by BJP on Wednesday along with seven other MPs.
Chadrabhan's house was also attacked on Wednesday and after that he claimed that senior BJP leader and party's prime ministerial candidate LK Advani was trying to get him killed.
Apart from Chandrabhan, the other expelled MPs are Brijbhushan Sharan Singh (Balrampur), Manjunath (Dharwad), HT Sangliana (Bangalore north), Manorama (Udipi), Haribhau Rathore (Yeotmal), Babubhai Katara(Dohad) and Somabhai Patel (Surendranagar).
On Wednesday, too, houses of BJP MPs who had either abstained or voted in favour of the United Progressive Alliance Government were attacked.
In Mumbai, BJP volunteers protested in front of MP Rathore's residence. Rathod, who belongs to the Gopinath Munde camp, had abstained from the vote citing ill health.
Police also detained nearly 30 protestors, including former party MP Kirit Somaiya, for the protest at Mulund.
Sangliana's office in Bangalore was also attacked.
