New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party will be holding a parliamentary board meeting on Tuesday morning to decide on the steps to be taken against dissident leaders like Ram Jethmalani, Shatrughan Sinha and Yashwant Sinha. Jethmalani has been the most vociferous critic of several of the party decisions, including a second term for party president Nitin Gadkari and its opposition to the appointment of senior IPS officer Ranjit Sinha as the new CBI director.
The Supreme Court lawyer was on Sunday suspended from the party and sources said that he may be expelled soon. Shatrughan Sinha and Yashwant Sinha had backed Jethmalani in his criticism of party members and were a part of the anti-Gadkari group within the BJP.
Gadkari has been battling corruption allegations over Purti Group investments and his alleged role in the Maharashtra irrigation scam.
