N Chandrababu Naidu eyes a big win for TDP-BJP-JSP alliance in Andhra Pradesh as NDA breaches the midway mark in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2024.
The alliance is giving YSR Congress Party a tough competition in the elections this year. As per the early trends, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu-led NDA is leading the bandwagon with 135 seats of the 175 assembly seats, at the time of reporting.
While Jana Sena Party head Pawan Kalyan has taken the lead in Pithapuram Assembly constituency, TDP candidates Mohammed Naseer Ahmed and Galla Madhavi are leading in Guntur East and Guntur West. As part of a seat-sharing arrangement in the NDA alliance, Telugu Desam Party (TDP), 21 seats for Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena Party while BJP has 10 seats in place. The exit polls had predicted a big win for the NDA in Andhra Pradesh. It had also predicted Pawan Kalyan’s first Assembly Elections win of his political career. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is leading in the Pulivendla Assembly constituency. Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is leading in 22 seats in the states at the time of reporting.
Meanwhile, television channels show that the celebrations have already begun at TDP’s office in Vijaywada. Many supporter have stepped out with the party’s flags to celebrate the seats won so far.
TDP leader Varla Ramaiah spoke with ANI as well. He said, “The alliance consisting of TDP, BJP and Jana Sena Party is going to get a landslide victory in the elections…We may secure more than 161 seats in the assembly and win all 25 Lok Sabha seats…The public has a lot of confidence in the alliance…The public rejected Jagan Mohan Reddy…”

Taking the early trends into consideration, the tables have turned for YSRCP. The political party had recorded a landslide win in the 2019 Assembly Elections. At the time, YSRCP won 151 seats while TDP had to settle for 23 seats.
