New Delhi: Veteran BJP leader LK Advani has taken a birthday break from his Jan Chetna Yatra.

Advani, who turns 84 on Tuesday, is back in Delhi to celebrate his birthday with family and friends.

Earlier, Advani's campaign on the issue of corruption on Monday reached its crescendo in Gujarat before it left for Rajasthan, with a huge crowd welcoming it in the city.

The leader's yatra in Ahmedabad got a huge response with people greeting him with flowers and anti-corruption slogans.

Former state Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel, who is not usually seen in public meetings of the party, was present on the dais along with other BJP leaders during the rally here.

On the occasion, Advani, who celebrates his 84th birthday on Tuesday, said he was overwhelmed by the reception he received in Gujarat a state from where he has been elected to the Lok Sabha. He was all praise for Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and said the latter's ability to root out corruption from Gujarat was the reason why it had become a 'model' state.

Advani further said the winter session of Parliament would become stormy if the UPA government did not make serious attempts to get black money back in the country.

Modi got the crowd shouting anti-corruption slogans and demanding back the black money in foreign banks.

What's your reaction?
