The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), has issued the IES and ISS Detailed Application Form (DAF) 2023 forms for the personality test round. According to the announcement, applicants can register themselves and fill out the DAF on the official website, upsc.gov.in, till October 3 at 6 PM.
The Commission previously announced the results of the IES/ISS Exam 2023, which was held in June. Candidates who met the requirements and passed the preliminary and main exams must show up for the interview/personality test round. The time and date for the interview round have not yet been announced yet. The UPSC will shortly release the interview schedule, and candidates will receive an e-summon letter informing them of the exact date. No requests to alter the time or date of the personality test will be taken into account.
In regards to the documents that will be produced at the time of the interview, it is important to carefully study the instructions for filling out the DAF and the Rules of the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2023. The commission stated that applicants must first register themselves before they can complete the DAF and submit it with the required paperwork.
“The applicants will be completely liable if they fail to provide appropriate dThe candidates will be solely responsible for not producing sufficient proof in support of his/her age, date of birth, educational qualification, community (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and physical disability certificate (in the case of PwDB candidates)” the notification stated.
UPSC IES, ISS DAF 2023: How to apply
Step 1: Navigate to upsconline.nic.in, the official website of UPSC.
Step 2: On the main website, select the link that a reads “One-time registration (OTR) for examinations of UPSC and online application.”
Step 3: Go to the IES, ISS DAF link and click it.
Step 4: Provide your credentials and, if required, pay the fee.
Step 5: Fill out and download the DAF 2023.
Step 6: Print a copy of the UPSC IES, ISS DAF for future records.
The UPSC will choose applicants for Indian Economic/Statistical Services based on a written examination with a maximum of 1000 marks and a personality test with a maximum of 200 marks. Out of the 51 openings, 18 are for the Indian Economic Service and 33 are for the Indian Statistical Service.
