After triumphing in the first match in style, Team India will look to continue the winning momentum in the ongoing ODI series against South Africa. The next game of the three-match series is slated to take place at the Saint George’s Park Cricket Ground in Gqeberha on December 19, with the on-field action beginning at 4:30 PM IST.
Played on a bouncy Johannesburg track, the opening ODI turned out to be a one-sided affair. South Africa batted first and went on to lose all of their wickets for 116 runs. Among the Indian bowlers, Arshdeep Singh claimed a five-wicket haul and Avesh Khan fetched four scalps.

South Africa did make a hopeful start with the ball as Wiaan Mulder managed to send off Indian opener Ruturaj Gaikwad right at the beginning of the chase.
However, the early blow hardly made any impact as India reached the below-par target well inside 20 overs.
Debutant Sai Sudarshan notched up a fine half-century and remained unbeaten at 55 runs. Coming in to bat at No. 3, Shreyas Iyer also had a good outing. He scored 52 runs off 45 balls, a knock which was laced with six fours and one maximum.
