The game will be a battle of equals as both teams are unbeaten in the tournament. India has been terrific across departments so far and they into the contest after registering convincing wins against Australia and Afghanistan.

Pakistan, on the other hand, defeated the Netherlands by 81 runs to begin their campaign and then won a hard-fought battle against Sri Lanka to register their second win in the ongoing tournament.

On Saturday, the two teams will engage in what is going to be a highly electrifying contest in Ahmedabad. But prior to the contest, a screenshot of a match scorecard has taken the internet by storm.

The picture looks like a morphed image of a Wikipedia page that shows India winning the game by 97 runs with Virat Kohli getting a century and Mohammad Rizwan scoring a fifty. As per the picture, India’s score is 334/4 after batting first.

The picture appeared to be an edited work but was enough to spark a fan battle on microblogging site X. Here’s how the netizens reacted.

Irrespective of the outcomes, the teams are looking forward to the epic clash with their preparations done right. Meanwhile, India received a massive boost as Shubman Gill is fit and, in most likelihood, will be available for the selection.

“99 percent he is available for tomorrow’s game,” India captain Rohit Sharma said during the pre-match media conference on Friday evening.

Gill looked in fine touch during an extended session at the Motera on Friday. The manner in which Gill faced the bowlers at the nets, it hardly looked like he was hospitalised last Sunday for dengue, with the blood platelet level dipping to 70,000.

Against Ravichandran Ashwin, Gill looked absolutely regal as he played some crisp on-drives off the off-spinner. The latter was more watchful against Shami as he defended him mostly while unleashing a few savage cuts against a left-arm pacer summoned for the next session.
