IIT-Delhi Students Get 480 Job Offers; Microsoft, Goldman Sachs Among Top Recruiters
Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Texas Instruments were among the top recruiters on the first day of placement season at IIT Delhi

Students at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Delhi received 480 full-time job offers on the first day of placements for the academic year 2023-24. The placement season at the institute commenced on December 1 and will span up to May 2024 for full-time hiring of undergraduate and postgraduate students by the recruiting organisations.

In a statement, IIT Delhi informed that over 360 national and international organisations have registered for hiring students. They are offering over 660 job profiles across multiple sectors.

By the end of December 1, around 480 full-time job offers, including pre-placement offers, with around 450 unique selections were bagged by the students of IIT Delhi. Several students have received multiple job offers.

“The Office of Career Services at IIT Delhi is working to maximize the placement of students who avail of our services. We have a healthy mix and lineup of companies across sectors to cater to the varied needs and aspirations of our student body,” Professor R Ayothiraman, in charge of the Office of Career Services was quoted by The Indian Express.

Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Texas Instruments were among the top recruiters on the campus on the first day in terms of the number of students offered.

Meanwhile, 25 students were offered international job offers from countries like Hong Kong, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

“The talent pool is raring to contribute to the growth of organizations they join. We look forward to welcoming all recruiters who believe in the potential of our talent pool,” said Dr Anishya O. Madan, Industrial Liaison Officer, Office of Career Services, IIT Delhi.

In 2022, 650 full-time job offers were made to the IIT Delhi students at the end of the first day of placements, according to reports. Out of 650, 550 were unique job selections including over 250 pre-placement offers. Also, 20 IIT Delhi students received international job offers last time from countries like Hong Kong, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and the United States.
