His first wife Reena’s house was also decked up with flowers and lights as the families began pre-wedding festivities.

Ira Khan has been keeping her followers updated with glimpses of pre-wedding ceremonies on Instagram. Recently, she and Nupur celebrated a Maharashtrian Kelvan ceremony. In the pictures she posted, Ira looked stunning in a saree, complemented by the elegance of a traditional Maharashtrian nath. The ceremony was attended by the presence of Ira’s mother, Reena Dutta, her close friend Mithila Palkar, and others.
Following their engagement, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare hosted an intimate party. Adding to the excitement, Aamir Khan and his ex-wife, Reena Dutta, were recently seen together while shopping for jewellery in the city as they prepared for their daughter’s upcoming wedding.

Previously speaking to News18, Aamir Khan confirmed the date of his daughter’s wedding and said, “Ira is getting married on January 3. The boy she has chosen is – waise toh pet name unka naam Popoye hai — he is trainer, he has arms like Popoye but his name is Nupur. He is a lovely boy. When Ira was battling depression, he was with her. He is really someone who has stood by her and emotionally supported her. I am happy that they are so happy together. They are very well connected, they really look after each other and care for each other.”
“This might be a filmy dialogue but I feel Nupur is like a son. Nupur is such a fine boy, we really feel he’s part of the family and his mother, Pritam ji, is someone who is already a part of our family,” the actor had said.
Nupur Shikhare made a romantic and memorable proposal to Ira Khan in September of the previous year. The proposal unfolded during a sports event where Nupur, seizing the moment, went down on one knee and presented Ira with a ring.
