The upcoming film Tiger 3 starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif has generated tremendous anticipation as one of the most eagerly awaited releases of the year. Building on the storyline from Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan, this installment is poised to become the biggest film in the franchise, following Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. What adds to its significance is that it’s one of the first major Bollywood releases in recent years scheduled for a Diwali release. The trailer, the first song Leke Prabhu Ka Naam, and the posters have already set high expectations, and now, the details of advance bookings are further fueling excitement among fans across the country.
As per a report in Sacnilk, looking at the excitement, the makers have decided to open advance bookings a week before its release, which is on November 5. This move is expected to generate a massive response in pre-sales, crucial for a film made on such a grand budget. While the opening night shows might see a lower footfall due to Diwali celebrations, the movie has the advantage of a long holiday week ahead. If it garners positive reviews, the movie could potentially shatter box office records, making it another blockbuster of the year.
On the other hand, the theatrical runtime for Tiger 3 has also been unveiled and it is approximately around 2 hours and 35 minutes long. This makes it the third longest film in YRF’s Spy Universe, while Tiger Zinda Hai and Pathaan had the shorter runtimes.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have a history of showing support to each other. Earlier this year, Salman launched the teaser of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan alongside SRK’s Pathaan. Now, it is reported that the teaser of Shah Rukh’s Dunki is set to be attached to Tiger 3. A source close to the production told Bollywood Hungama, “Dunki is the next biggest Indian feature film after Tiger 3 and it’s the most obvious call to bring out the teaser with this actioner reaching out to a wide section of audience. All it took was a call from SRK to his two friends, Aditya Chopra and Salman Khan. The teaser of Dunki will be screened across the globe with Tiger 3 on the big screen, preparing the audience for a roller coaster journey at Christmas.”
In Tiger 3, Salman Khan is set to reprise the role of a RAW agent, Tiger, also known as Avinash Singh Rathore, with Katrina Kaif portraying Zoya, Tiger’s wife and former ISI agent. The third instalment introduces Emraan Hashmi to YRF’s Spy Universe as the main villain Aatish. Additionally, Shah Rukh Khan will be making a cameo appearance, adding more power to this already star-studded action thriller. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, this spy action thriller is set to hit the screens on November 12.
