Parineeti Chopra On Plans Of Joining Politics Like Husband Raghav Chadha: 'I Will Tell You The Secret Of....'
Parineeti Chopra shared her thoughts on joining the politics like her husband Raghav Chadha.

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha tied the knot on September 24 this year. Their pre-wedding ceremonies kicked off in Delhi with a cricket match which was followed by a Sufi night and Ardaas ceremony. The couple then travelled to Udaipur where their Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies were held. The two then took the wedding vows in the presence of their family members.

At an event today, the actress opened up on the secret of a successful marriage. On being asked if she has interests in politics, Parineeti smiled and said, “I will tell you the secret to a successful marriage! Main hoon actor, woh hai politician. Usko Bollywood ke baare mein kuch nahin pata aur mujhe politics ke baare kuch nahin pata. Isi liye humari marriage bahut achhi chal rahi hain.”

Recently, the actress celebrated her first Diwali with hubby Raghav Chadha. She took to her Instagram handle and shared a series of pictures of the celebration with her politician-husband.

Talking about striking a perfect balance between work and life, Parineeti continued, “It’s very important to strike the right work-life balance. In India, we often see people proudly talking about how they did not eat or sleep on time because they were busy with work. They wear it like a badge of honour but personally, I don’t think it is the right way to live life. I believe in working really hard but I also love to meet my friends and go on holidays. When I am 85 or 90 years old, I should look back and feel that I lived my life the way it should be done.”

On the work front, Parineeti completed filming for Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila alongside Diljit Dosanjh before her marriage. The film is a biopic depicting the life of Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife Amarjot Chamkila. On Monday, she took to Instagram to share her gruelling workout to get back in shape. She wrote, “I spent 6 months this year singing in Rahman sir’s studio, and going back home to eat as much junk as I possibly could to put on 15 KILOS for Chamkila! (Coming soon on Netflix) Music and Food. That was my routine. Now that the film is done, the story is completely the opposite. I miss the studio, and live in the gym trying to get back to looking like myself again. And not like Amarjot ji! Its been hard. But anything for you Imtiaz sir! And this role. Many more inches to go. Let’s do this!”
