Jason Momoa And Lisa Bonet File For Divorce Two Years After Separation
Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa have reached a mutual agreement on the division of their assets, no spousal support, and co-parenting their two teen children.

American actress Lilakoi Moon, also known as Lisa Bonet, has officially initiated divorce proceedings with actor Jason Momoa. This decision comes after a lengthy relationship spanning 18 years. The couple had publicly declared their separation almost two years ago. 56-year-old Bonet submitted the necessary legal documents to terminate her marriage with 44-year-old Momoa at the Los Angeles county court recently. Citing irreconcilable differences as the grounds for their separation, the filing explicitly states that neither party is seeking financial support from the other. The duo have reached a mutual agreement on the division of their assets.

In terms of their 16-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son, the couple has decided on joint custody, emphasising their commitment to co-parenting responsibilities, reports People.

The divorce documents pinpoint the separation date as October 2020, surpassing a year before their public announcement. A significant waiting period of at least six months is anticipated before a formal declaration of divorce by a judge.

When announcing their split two years ago, Bonet and Momoa had said, as reported by People, “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring.”

“We share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become,” they added. “Our devotion is unwavering to this sacred life of our children. Teaching our children what’s possible. Living the Prayer. May Love Prevail,” their statement further said.

Jason Momoa, widely recognised for his roles in Aquaman and Game of Thrones, got married to Lisa Bonet, known for The Cosby Show, its spinoff A Different World, and the Enemy of the State, in 2017. The duo had reportedly begun their relationship in 2005.

While Momoa’s marriage to Bonet is his first one, the actress was previously married to musician Lenny Kravitz and they have a son together, actor Zoe Kravitz.

Momoa was last seen in the action film Aquaman 2 which received positive responses from the audience.
