Bhairavi Vaidya passed away after battling cancer.

Veteran actress Bhairavi Vaidya who was battling cancer, passed away on October 8. She was 67. She was suffering since the past few months.

With a career spanning of over 45 years, Bhairavi was recently seen in the TV show ‘Nima Denzongpa’. Her co-star Surabhi Das, mourned her demise and shared with India Today, “I am really saddened by the news of her passing away. I shared great times with her on sets.”

Pratik Gandhi who shared the screen space with her in a film titled Ventilator shared, “I got an opportunity to work with her in the film ‘Ventilator”. We had a really good bonding. She was very affectionate.

I had seen her perform on stage and on television as a child. And always admired her performance. I can’t forget her smiling face.”

Bhairavi Vaidya was also a popular name in Gujarati as well as in Hindi cinema. She has worked in shows like’Hasratein’ and ‘Mahisagar’. Back in 1999, she made her Bollywood debut in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-starrer ‘Taal’.
